Lofted Cabin

The Lofted Cabin is a prefab cabin with a loft that adds storage space overhead and a classic barn-style roof on high sidewalls. These portable cabins feature plenty of vertical space to allow for an open loft area. Whether it’s for campground lodging, office, retreat cabin, hunting cabin, workshop, or just an extra room in the backyard, a Lofted Cabin offers maximum flexibility of use.

An attractive front porch gives the lofted cabin a welcoming appearance. If the Lofted Cabin is a bigger size you can add a porch swing to relax out on the porch. (You can see a guide with ideas for finishing out the inside of small prefab cabins here.) Lofted Cabin price depends on the size and style. We offer two cabin styles to choose from: prefab cabin and lofted cabin. With sizes ranging from 10×16 to 14×40, we build a cabin with a loft for almost any need! Lofted Cabin Standard Features:

Pressure-treated skids and joists to resist moisture and rot from the ground
Your choice of siding – pressure treated 5/8″ wood siding, LP SmartSide, or metal with a 40-year warranty

Heavy-duty flooring to support your belongings – 5/8″ comes standard on all lofted cabins, 3/4″ is available
36″ wide door with locking door latch for the security of Lofted Cabin

A 4’ or 6’ front porch – note that the porch is included in the overall size of the Lofted Cabin

Lofted Cabin Interior Options

We have a variety of add-on options that can be added to a Lofted Cabin to allow for different uses. For instance: a locking door latch for extra security and ¾” heavy-duty flooring to support the heavy stuff. Each of our Lofted Cabins is built with the same quality features and attention to detail that we use on our other cabins and prefab buildings. A base of pressure-treated lumber protects the lofted cabin from moisture and decay from the ground.

Lofted Cabin Exterior Options

The Lofted Cabin comes standard with a 36″ entry door and 3 windows for plenty of natural light. The exact placement of the windows can be customized for each lofted cabin. An optional exterior loft door can be placed on the end of the lofted cabin for easy loft access from the outside. Also, customers can get their Lofted Cabin with pressure treated wood siding, LP SmartSide, or metal siding, and a metal or shingle roof.

Rent-To-Own Lofted Cabins

Purchasing a Lofted Cabin saves you from spending money for booking a motel or renting someone else’s cabin for a family vacation. To make the purchase easier for our customers we offer the great plan that is called a Rent-To-Own. It allows you to rent a lofted cabin while investing toward ownership of the cabin. Using specialized equipment, we’re able to deliver lofted cabins in Pittsburgh, Erie, Oil City, Meadville, Millcreek, Hermitage, Butler, Cranberry Township, New Castle, and other towns throughout western Pennsylvania. Features & Options

Standard Features

Exposed nails are galvanized to prevent rust spots or weather stains.
The doors are reinforced with 2x4s for increased strength and include a keyed latch for your protection.
Buildings have 40 yr. metal roofing or limited lifetime architectural shingles and aluminum drip edge
All exposed lumber is pressure treated to prevent termite damage and rotting. This includes our large 4x6 runners, floor joists, plywood floor, trim, and T1-11 siding.
A series of air vents are positioned to create optimal air circulation and temperature control.
Building sizes are measured from outside wall to outside wall - not eave to eave as some competitors.
Buildings are sprayed with wood sealer to help retain their new look longer.
Buildings are built with black hardware including decorative, heavy-duty hinges.

If your delivery location is within 25 miles of an authorized Gold Star Buildings dealer, you'll receive FREE shipping! For locations over 25 miles, a $3 per mile charge will be added.

Site Preparation

A prepared, level site is highly recommended for all buildings. It will keep a building in better condition long-term. Be sure to build a shed base that is 1 foot wider and longer than the building.
