Site Preparation
A level, prepared site helps your prefab garage stay in better condition long-term. We recommend preparing a base that extends 1 foot beyond the building on all sides. Confirm any local site, zoning, foundation, and permit requirements with your municipality.

Free delivery is available within 25 miles of an authorized Gold Star Buildings dealer. For locations beyond 25 miles, a per-mile delivery charge may apply. We’ll provide your full estimate when you request your free quote.
Prefab 2-Car Garage FAQs
Gold Star Buildings’ 2-car garages are available in four sizes: 24×24, 24×32, 28×32, and 28×40. Buildings are measured from outside wall to outside wall, so these dimensions refer to the garage’s exterior footprint rather than the roof eaves.The right size depends on how many vehicles you need to park and how much additional room you want for storage or workspace.
Gold Star’s prefab 2-car garages range from 576 to 1,120 square feet. A 24×24 garage provides 576 square feet, while the largest 28×40 option provides 1,120 square feet.
Gold Star’s prefab 2-car garages come standard with two 9′×7′ garage doors. Each garage door is 9 feet wide and 7 feet high, providing separate vehicle access for each bay.
Prefab 2-Car garages provide substantially more ground-level space and are built to accommodate multiple vehicles. Unlike Gold Star’s single-car portable garages, double-wide garages are constructed in two sections, delivered separately, and joined together on-site.
Permit and zoning requirements vary by municipality and property. Contact your local zoning or building department before ordering to confirm setbacks, foundation requirements, permits, and any restrictions that apply.
