Lofted Barns are a prefab barn design with a classic barn-style roof and an overhead loft for those extra boxes and small items you’d like to store off the main floor. Most prefab barn owners use their Lofted Barn to store things like camping gear, plastic storage bins with seasonal decor or tools.

When it comes to a storage building, the Lofted Barn is one of the most versatile choices out there. This prefab barn offers more cubic feet of storage by taking advantage of vertical space than almost any other structure we create with the exact dimensions. For instance: if you purchase or build a 10×12 Lofted Barn, you would have over 90 square feet of overhead storage space in the lofted area. Lofted Barn Standard Features:

  • Pressure-treated skids and joists to resist moisture and rot from the ground
  • Your choice of siding – pressure treated 5/8″ wood siding, LP SmartSide, or metal with a 40-year warranty
  • Your choice of roofing – shingles or metal
  • Heavy-duty flooring to support your belongings – 5/8″ comes standard on all Lofted Barns, 3/4″ is available
  • Heavy-duty doors – a 4′ door on 8′ wide prefab barns; a 6′ double door on prefab barns 10′ or 12′ wide
  • A locking door latch for extra security
  • Sidewalls are 6’ 3” high
  • Functional outside loft door is available upon request on these prefab barns.

Lofted Barn Interior Options

The Lofted Barn’s roomy interior and extra loft space make this backyard shed ideal for a workshop, man cave, or just a storage area. Typically, the loft’s interior access is placed in the center of this prefab barn, but it can be placed elsewhere. Additionally, you can add to your Lofted Barn the locking door latch for extra security and 3/4″ heavy-duty flooring to support your belongings.

Lofted Barn Exterior Options

The main doors on the Lofted Barn are placed on the end of the building, with an optional exterior loft door placed above them. If you would like to have the doors positioned on the side of your prefab barn, check out our lofted garden shed. With each Lofted Barn, the customers can choose custom features like siding, roof type, paint, windows, and doors to match their houses. Gold Star Buildings offers siding options of pressure-treated plywood, LP SmartSide, or 40-year metal, and roofing options of metal or shingles.

Rent-To-Own Lofted Barn

To make your purchase even easier for customers like you, we offer a Rent-To-Own plan that allows you to rent a Lofted Barn when you need it while investing toward ownership of the prefab barn.
